Design Family

Oh what I would do to be a part of this artist community. Recently I have been really frustrated by the fact that, though I do have a lot of artistic friends in my larger friend groupings, not many of my best friends are artists. Very few are fine artists. I am worried about graduating and losing artistic community. I am used to talking about art for at least a few hours a day. I love discussing art theory, and absolutely feel like i have to go to graduate school in the near future. But in the in between time, while I am not in school, I do hope i can more deeply solidify my friendships with other artists and musicians. I need that community to flourish. I need discussion and critique, encouragement and inspiration from other artist's around me. Man, I would love to get to live somehwere like this, working amidst and with other incredible artists, communing with them not only through art but through all aspects of life. Living.

You ought to live at the brewery if you ever move down here. You'd probably need to get ahold of a trust fund first, cause I hear they're ridiculously pricey, but still...

And if you don't end up living there, you should at least try to make it to the artwalk they do twice a year. Look here.

Have you heard of it?

We can talk about art again sometime, if you want. Art community is important, and music people totally have different perspectives than the fine arts, or whatever you call everything else.... I mean... not a better perspective, just different (obvi)
