This is who I roll with...

So last week my band, the Mopes, played at Neumos in Seattle.  It was a rip roarin' good time.  And the other bands that played were so good, especially Lemolo.    Someone at the show said we sound like surf rock mixed with My Bloody Valentine.  Awesome.  Collectively, I'd say 50's and 60's pop and shoegaze are a few of our favorite styles of music.  Glad to hear it shows up a little in our sound.
ps.  Seattle's Three Imaginary Girls did a photo review of the show.  You can check out the review here.  Thank you to Lori Paulson for the photos!

Do you like our matching outfits?  Even though I am obsessed with costumes, dress up, and matching, I will dare to say that the boys are even more into it than I am.  One day, I will find a sparkling 50's dress and the boys will get matching suits with skinny ties and then our band will finally be complete.  One day, one day.

Love to see you this way! Wish I could sing but I can't even hold a note! I can't believe this is in Seattle the stage looks just like the mercury lounge in NYC where I've seen other up and coming bands perform...think you should post audio tracks for us to hear on the blog;))
