I back again darling friends. It is a bit of a hard transition coming from sunny, hot California to cold, wet Seattle. I had the most wonderful 4 days. I have so much to tell you and so much to show you! I took lots of photos of the river near my house in Nevada City and lots of pictures of the camp in Yosemite that my boyfriend is working at this summer. It was ridiculously gorgeous. The photo above is from when I went on a little hike by myself to Small Falls near Berkeley Tuolumne Camp. Don't tell anyone but I went skinny dipping, heehee. I didn't see anyone on the hike, but just to be safe, I trailed off to a secluded area where no one could see me. I had been climbing around on some huge rocks while the heat beat down on my back. The sun was sinking low and the light was so warm and soft. It was super hot and I wished that I had worn my swimsuit. But then I thought to myself...hm, skinny dipping would be well suited for this moment :) I only jumped in for a few seconds, just enough time to dunk my head under and come up with a gasp. It was so cold! But so refreshing. I haven't been skinny dipping since a friend's bachelorette party a few years ago on a lake. And at that time, it was more of a punishment for losing a game to jump into the lake nakey haha. But going skinny dipping by myself was so refreshing, freeing and kind of empowering. I had just been having an incredible time seeing my family, then going to camp to visit my boy, spending time by the water reading a beautiful book, feeling peaceful, serene, and totally content. I just felt happy. And at the moment, jumping into the cool cool water feeling free and alive just felt like the best choice ever. It was the best choice ever. I recommend that you go skinny dipping at least once this summer. It is enlivening.
What are you looking forward to doing this summer?
I am so ready for summer to hit Seattle!
