designing for community living

styling the living room
Pretty soon, the family I am living with is moving out of our apartment so that we can turn the entire building into an artist community!  3 modern dancers will become my housemates, and in the apartment below will be 3 artist/gardener/architects and another dancer.  I am getting so inspired to create a unique communal living space upstairs that will suit artistic men and women like me.
I saw the charcoal black wall on Jill's blog Lune and I fell in love.  Then I saw the awesome little diy side table by Anna from Door Sixteen and I knew I had to include it in my future living room.

How have you styled your living room?

Thank you for including my little crate table in your illustration, Moorea! I love seeing something from my house in line-drawing format. :)

um hum! Really into those hanging terrariums - I think we're on the same page because that's exactly what I was thinking for our dining room as a green accent. Also, really love the Navajo style rug. Great plan (and I like D16 too!).
