Blog Favorites: Le Blog De Betty

I've been really loving Le Blog de Betty lately.  It has been fun to watch her style progress over the past few years from cutesy and flowery to modern and edgy.  My style has been morphing in a similar direction of the past few years.  I used to really be into flower patterned vintage and developed a pretty cute vintage dress and hat collection.  But one day a year and a half ago, I looked in the mirror and realized I was just suddenly over being cute and was ready to jump back into my first style love:  modern, minimalist, a little edgy and a little sexy.
I'm loving Betty's clean black, white and grey palettes with pops of vivid color, especially that bright royal blue.  I was about to sell a crazy bright blue little coat the other day...but I think I'll need to pull it out of the "sell" bag and put it back in my closet.  I have some new inspiration :)  Ps, Isn't Betty's fashion photography is just gorgeous?  I think her boyfriend is her photographer.  I hope someday I can get the guts to adventure out of my backyard for my fashion photoshoots.  Her outfits just look so gorgeous in city settings she finds.

Awesome! I wish I had more photography skills, period. I have lots of clothes and outfits I'd like to share on my blog, but I don't even have a tripod, let alone a fancy camera. Oh well my Dad will have to be my photographer for now! :)

Also wanted to let you know I gave you an award over on my blog! Please stop by to receive it!

i am totally in the same spot about fashion. i have my fair share of cutesy florals, but lately i'm into the what you described perfectly; modern, minimalist, a little edgy and a little sexy. even with my jewelry choices, which yours is so spot on for me right now. i need to get something from your shop asap.

I know how you feel about taking fashion photos outside of your back yard. I struggle with that too. The last time I tried it, I ended up in a little forest by my house, and then leaving because I stepped in dog poop! Boo

Lovely post thank you for sharing.

Wow she does have a very nice style. I like it. :) I need to get a style, period. Lol. I tend to fall into t-shirts and jeans far too many days of the week. That's the Pacific NW uniform, you know. ;P
