Blog Design: Emma Chapman's blog Food Coma

Sheesh, this post is long over due!  I designed and illustrated the new blog Food Coma for the talented and beautiful Emma and launched the site about a month ago.  If you haven't already checked it out, you should really hop on over there.  Emma posts about delicious food, her favorite books, and what she wears.  She takes the most gorgeous food photographs and I'm drooling every time she lists a new recipe.  I'm always inspired to pick up a new book when Emma posts her reviews.  And I love her What I Wore Posts.  She has changed her hair a lot over the past couple of months and it has been fun to see how she switches up her style with each of her new looks.
If you didn't know already, Emma is business partners with her super awesome big sis Elsie from A Beautiful Mess.  Elsie manages the retail space of Red Velvet and Emma runs the Red Velvet Sweet Shoppe, plus they have an online site for their boutique.  These girls must be insanely busy because they are always whipping out new and exciting things in a million arenas like their recent Spring Dress Collection.
Emma has a beautiful aesthetic and it was lovely getting to translate that into a blog design for her.  Light, fresh, bright, and playful.  And illustrating her portrait was by far my favorite part.  It was super fun coming up with the perfect styling for her outfit and I was so excited, of course, when she requested a chevron pattern in the dress.  What is your favorite element of her new blog?
I'm currently accepting new clients for portraits.  If you are interested in a portrait for your blog, a portrait for print, for business cards, a couples shot of you and a loved one, or a gift for a friend, please email me at mooreaseal{at}gmail.com.
