My New Glasses

I got new glasses recently, ta-da!  I could have gone with ones that make a bigger statement, are more trendy, more hipster-y, more retro or whatever.  But I've worn glasses every day since I was 14 (wow that's over ten years now!) and I since I wear them every single day, I just want them to be simple and wearable with any and every outfit.  I'm a jewelry designer so I wear a lot of statement jewelry.  And I don't like having statement jewelry plus glasses that scream at you in their styling.  I like simple and clean designs so I don't want my glasses to battle in design with my jewelry.  So, here they are, my simple clean lined glasses, not too cool, not too boring.

Ps, they were super affordable, thank you insurance + Sears optical!  And thanks to my giant head looking weird with most womens' glasses, I chose these mens glasses instead.  The wideness of the glasses helps balance out my head size and long look of my face.  Do ya dig them?

They look adorable on you! The perfect mix of cute and yet serious. They can easily be dressed up or down. I love 'em. :D

Very nice! I like a neutral look to glasses too. Especially with the many other ways one can style their outfit. :) You look great!

Gorgeous as always!

Very nice! I like simple frames also, and mens styles tend to suit me better. I need mine for focus issues only, so they spend a lot of time on the top of my head. The extra width of a mans frames allow me to do that without stretching them out. Did you get sunglasses?

You look very beautiful in glasses. Those are really nice glasses as well. I have had my glasses for a little over a year and I got mine at walmart. They were very affordable and like you I have also been wearing glasses for a very long time. Last year was the first time I had not paid a fortune for glasses and I was so thankful for that. I would go to walmart again for glasses.

very cute! i just got contacts for running and photo shoots, but what i love about it is i can wear statement pieces. i think it's because my glasses are so out-there (hello, lucite hot pink!) the glasses are enough of a statement. i love the jewelry with your glasses!

Your new glasses look beautiful! They're perfect for your face shape and so cute! I've worn glasses since 5th grade (I'm 30 now!), and I cringe when I look back and some of the frames I wore. Finding a good pair is a challenge, though - sadly, frames without nose pads don't seem to fit my face, and so many cute ones don't have them.

I agree only people who never really had to wear glasses, go for the retro/nerd versions these days. Yours are very cute and simple - perfect!

CUTE! They look great on you! I always have a really hard time finding frames too... except my face is so small that I have to look at the kid's glasses... and make sure that they don't have little cars or ponies on the sides of the frames! Seriously! Oddly enough, I just got a new pair on Friday so I might have a similar post later this week. Lol. :-)

I like how simple they are and I agree that since you wear a lot of statement jewelry some toned down glasses are necessary! Anyways, they are really cute on you too! :)

Hi,
This is the first time I've heard of a woman wearing glasses made for men. Now that I think of it, I wonder why it doesn't happen more often. I wonder if men wear women's glasses :-) I think the new glasses suit you though :-) I just discovered your blog recently and really like what I see.
