Home Tour // Dining Room

Today's home tour will be a brief one, it's just the magical mysterious other side of the room that contains my workspace... the dining room!  We keep it pretty simple in here especially since my side of the room can get so chaotic and can spill onto the dining room table sometimes.  Oops.

Danielle found this beautiful table I believe at a vintage furniture shop.  It has extendable leafs, I think that is what they are called right?  And the top of the table can be removed and flipped over to turn into a card table lined with felt!  Fancy.  She got these mid century modern chairs off of craigslist and our curtains are vintage too.  You'll notice lots of greenery in our dining room too, told ya my roommate is a plant addict!

Danielle and I both have record players by the same company, Crosley.  Mine sadly just hangs out inside of my closet since we already have Danielle's in the dining room and the sound reaches everywhere in the house.  But I do love my record player.  I've had mine since high school, a time when I could go thrifting for records weekly.  Ah youth, I had so much free time, if only I could get a little of that now!  Ha!

Tomorrow will be the last room tour on our journey, a peek into my bedroom!  I do love my bedroom a lot and I have a few tips and tricks for decorating on a budget that I look forward to sharing with you :)

We both have for years :) My dad had an amazing record collection that he sold when I was in middle school. After that, I always wished he had kept them so I started my own collection :)

me neither... I have ONE plant I have managed to keep alive by some mystery for 2 years! My boyfriend gave me a bonsai which isn't too easy to kill. And then I have 2 cactus which never need watering so its hard to kill those too :) Danielle is the one who keeps all the other plants alive, not me! :)

I'd totally recommend getting a crosley record player. they are brand new but look vintage and last for forever!

totally! i have a red one that looks kind of 50's diner-y. I'm not a huge fan of 50's retro anymore though and kinda wish I had one of the leather ones.
