GIVEAWAY // Photography E-Course from Kara Haupt

I'm so excited for Kara Haupt's new Photography E-Course, and she is giving away one spot in the e-course (a $45 value) to one of you lucky readers! Here is some info from Kara herself:

I’ve heard from too many people how they’re scared to slide their camera’s setting from Auto or Shutter/Aperture Priority over to the the big M (M for manual.) I was too! My settings didn’t move out of Auto until a year after I got a DSLR. But, one day I decided to learn Manual and I haven’t switched it back since!

If you’re a blogger who wants to bring your blog to the next level with its own unique photographs or an Etsy shop owner tired of low quality photography representing your amazing product, The M will be a fantastic resource for you! Or if you just want to take better photos of your family, self, and life!

The class material covers two week’s of thorough, daily lessons, tips, and ideas.
This class is for anyone who wants to learn the technical aspects of digital photography in an easy to understand and non-intimidating setting. The class starts at the very basics– camera and lens recommendations, exposure, composition, lighting, and Photoshop corrections. It ends with basic tips from everything from landscape to portrait photography and includes free Photoshop actions, film photography tips, challenges, critiques, and inspiration. Most of the focus is on portraiture, but other subject matter is covered.
1st Entry:  Leave a comment here letting me know why you'd like to take this E-Course.
2nd Entry:  Tweet about this giveaway and leave a second comment here letting me know.

This giveaway ends on April 11th, 2012.

I would LOVE to win this. I bought a DSLR a year ago and have never really been taught how to take nice pictures. I take a lot of pictures for my food blog mainly and they are always lacking in ways that I know they could be well if I actually knew what I was doing..

I would love to enter this course, being sixteen and into photography means that a lot of the time people don't take me seriously. Therefore I would love to have a chance to talk to a photographer and learn from their words. Especially learning about film photography is something that I've always loved to do, however I don't do it at school and therefore haven't really had a chance to learn. I honestly believe it's the person behind the camera, rather then the camera itself and would love to see how Kara works because she's an incredible creator.
I've tweeted it as well! <3

I would love to win this course. My husband bought me a very expensive camera for my birthday last year, and I'm rather intimidated by it. We are planning a pregnancy this Summer, and I would love to document it from the start as it's probably the only chance we'll have :)

I would love to win this course because, much as I try, I just can't seem to get my photography skills down. I use a DSLR (when I don't have my phone) but I've never really been able to go outside the manual setting comfort zone for fear of failure and missing out on memories. I'll be heading off to grad school across the country and away from my family, friends, and boyfriend in a few months, so I want to be able to share snippets of my new life with them that go beyond Instagram and blurry snapshots of my dinner!

I would love to win this class! I need something to motivate me to switch out of auto… this is even one of my 30 before 30 goals for this year!

What a fantastic and generous giveaway. I've been an aspiring photographer for years; I got hooked in high school, took a few classes in college, and have always had a camera by my side. From the very beginning, I was focused on developing my artistic side - making sure the crop & ratios were right. Finding the subtle moments that other people miss. And, as such, I think I've missed a lot of the technical training. I've always been able to muddle through the technical issues, but I've never truly felt comfortable. My fiance just surprised me with my dream DSLR, and while I've been snapping photos like crazy, I am still intimidated by the nitty gritty of what my new camera can do.

I'd love to take my etsy shop (mostly jewelry) to a place where I can one day quit my job and support myself creatively. I believe that strong photography skills are part of that, and I am ready to jump back into learning mode! And, anxious to see my photography grow.

Thanks for the giveaway!

I just got my DSLR in January, and I've been brave enough to play with the Aperature and SHutter Speed modes, but not all the way to true Manual. As summer approaches, I would love to be able to be bold with that camera. Also, our etsy shop desperately needs new photos and I would love to learn what flexibility I have there.

Oh goodness I NEED this haha. I have been dying to take the time to actually learn how to use my DSLR. Here I am, bought this amazing (read: expensive) camera a little over a year ago and I really still don't have any idea how to use it. If I had an e-course it would force me to learn...which is probably my last hope. I'd love to improve my photo taking skillz (yup, with a Z) and feel more confident behind the camera.

I would love to win this because I am shooting an old friend's wedding this summer and am very nervous to do so because I still don't know a lot about my Nikon! Sometimes I feel silly asking people questions about my camera, so taking an e-cousr would be a great help.

Great giveaway! xo Charity

I would love love LOVE to take this course! I've been needing to brush up on my photo skills for a while and this would be the perfect way to do so! I adore Kara & her blog and I think she would be a wonderful teacher!

wow the topics are very interesting.. I want to enter, why? because I want to continue with my study in photography, I love this area of art. I took one analogue camera lesson in 2010, and I fell in love. Another reason is because I´m a blogger and want to make better photos for my web and I want to improve my skills, learn another tips, maybe something related with comercial stuff, because one of my dreams is to have my own shop.

I would love to win this because I've been dying to sink into photography more seriously for a long time. I've been paying my way through college so I haven't been able to save up for a DSLR. Now that I'm graduating (and possibly have a new job) I'm really excited to start doing something I love. My first paycheck is going to a DSLR and this course would really help me along. Plus, I have a blog so it would definitely help me create sharp, pro photos :) Thank you! <3

This e-course sounds amazing! As much as I love photography, I've never properly learned how to use my camera's manual settings. I'd love to continue to improve my blog photography, and take my skills to the next level! Thanks for the chance to win!

First of all what a wonderful giveaway! Thank you for the opportunity.
This would be a wonderful course to take to help me take better photographs of the hair pieces and jewelry I sell in my Etsy shop. In the past I have had to rely on other with nice cameras, but that has quickly gotten too expensive. My husband and I decided to invest in a little cannon dslr and I am now ready to take my own photos, only I don't know too terribly much about digital photography. I would love to be confident at using my camera on the manual settings! I also think it would improve the photos I share on my blog as well.

Thanks again!

Thank you so much for this giveaway!
I would love nothing more than to take this class because I just (as in, less than 24 hours ago) bought a Canon Rebel and need a jump-start class to get me going! I have a bit of previous photography experience, but mainly with film cameras. I desperately need to take a class like this to refine my skills. I am traveling abroad this next year and will be starting up my etsy shop and online blog for illustration/paper goods. This would be the perfect opportunity to launch my small business!
Thank you so much for the chance.

I would love to take this ecourse for so many reasons! I really want to turn my little Etsy shop into a local store someday and bump my blog up to the next level as well. I tried to take a photography course at my university, but there are so many people wanting to take it so they are only offering it to photography majors. Sp this would be perfect!

The course would be so helpful to me. As an amateur blogger and hobby photographer, I am saving my pennies as I type to buy a DSLR. I am amazed at the untapped potential cameras have in my hands and I love leaning new tricks and experimenting on my own. I would be so so grateful to participate in Kara Haupt's class.

Learning to control my camera is one of my goals for this year! I've set 30 goals for myself starting with my birthday next week and extending until April 2013. I'd love to have a great teacher to help me!
