Tralalalala... That is what is going through my head in the above photo because of the glorious sunshine! Hooray Seattle for bringing out the warmth and the sun the past few days! My goodness I have just been crazy busy ever since I came back to Seattle from being in California for two weeks. Thankfully, as I mentioned yesterday, I hired my first intern and I am so thrilled she is on board to help me out in juggling all that I do. I've reached a point in juggling all my work that I literally can't add any more work hours to my days because anything more and I would probably have a mental breakdown. So, it is time to expand the Moorea Seal team to two, and I have another friend jumping on board to assist me as well this summer because I have some majorly exciting things brewing for my brand and business. Woohoo! I'm so excited for this busy summer ahead and for the helping hands.
And speaking of busy, I am head back to California again on Thursday! Yep, I was just there 2 weeks ago and it took me 2 weeks to catch up on all of my work and now I am headed back again! But it is for a great reason. One of the most amazing women I know is getting married on Saturday and I am so honored to be one of her bridesmaids. I'm still not sure about the dress I bought for my bridesmaid dress so I may have to do an emergency shopping trip tomorrow to hunt down something better. But we shall see.
I really really love this shirt I just got from oasap.com. I haven't really been into patterns for the past few years when it comes to my personal style but I have had a sudden rush of love for animal prints done in non-trashy ways. I think the puff sleeves and black peter pan collar help balance out the pattern well. What do you think? I'm also and a big fan of these T-strap flats for summer from Blowfish Shoes. I do wear a lot of black, even in the summer and I prefer to wear more tailored clothes when I can afford them, cough rarely can I find affordable tailored clothes cough, and I think these shoes look great with more tailored clothing. And last but not least, this is a necklace that is now available in my shop! This is one of those pieces of jewelry that I just have to make a copy for myself because I'm surprisingly finding I can wear it with so many different outfits. I think it is a great edgy balance to the sweet style of the peter pan collar, puff sleeves, and mary jane shoes.
Ps, the light around my eyes and cheekbones looks pretty orange-y red because my sunglasses are lined with a bright red color on the inside which, when the sun reflects off of the bright red, makes the areas around my eyes and cheeks pretty orange-y. Weird. Oh well, I love these sunglasses. Hooray for prescription sunglasses!
