Calling Out to All My Ladies!

This Fall, I'm really feeling the need to re-focus, re-structure my life and work, and start new endeavors to make the Fall feel fresh and inspiring.  For me, even more than Spring, Fall is a season of re-birth each year, a time to clear out all of the elements of my personal and professional life that are hindering my progress to create room for new fulfilling plans and projects.  Here is where you come in...
This Fall, I want to give my blog a good re-design, I want to feel more intentional with my posts, and I'd love to create some new series for the blog.  And most importantly, I want to get to know YOU better.  I crave dialogue and community, and I'd love to be able to bring you my readers and friends more deeply into the content of my blog.

So!  I'd love to start answering questions from you guys each week.  Perhaps you have questions about design, how to edit and design your own blog, how to get started on Etsy, questions about being young and starting your own business, questions about starting a business at any age!  Perhaps you are just craving some simply DIYs for the home.  Maybe you have questions about more personal things, you're struggling with something and need some support form someone who has been in your shoes.  Maybe YOU would like to be a guest writer on my blog, have something you would like to share or collaborate on?  I'm truly and honestly inspired by you guys and hearing your thoughts and needs brings me great encouragement to expand what I talk about on my blog.

As the saying goes, help me help you.  Need advice?  I'd love to help!  Either leave a comment in this post with your questions or ideas (it's ok to leave an anonymous question if you like) or feel free to email me!  I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts and questions!

Please be kind with you words.
I take everything you say to heart so please comment with thoughtfulness, honesty and compassion.
Thanks!

I'd be interested in all of the possible questions you included in your post! But I guess I'm most curious about what made you decide on your path - and the specifics of how you made it happen. I love hearing the personal stories of creatives, because no two have taken the same path, and it's really reassuring and inspiring to hear about other's journeys, especially when I'm just starting out!

I really have just enjoyed reading everything you have and your blog was one of the first I ever came across that inspired me. We've interacted a few times and I can't help but feel like we need to be friends!

Hi Moorea,

You are such a wonderful, interseting blogger because your posts are so personal. Thank you for opening up and allowing your devoted readers to connect with you!

I am an aspiring artist and creator, but my lack of self-confidence is really eating away at my ability to produce anything. Furthermore, if my work is criticized, I crumble immediately and lose all desire to create again. This is an extremely self-destructive cycle because I know that I am supposed to be creating in my heart of hearts. The machinery of my heart runs on creative juices, but that nasty inner voice of mine keeps interfering with my dreams.

Do you have any advice for me? Have you ever struggled with similar problems?

I would love to hear back :)

Thank you so much.

-Natalie

Hi Moorea, i love your blog, just as it is. But still, i'm curious what you are going to change. I always love getting tips on how to make something in photoshop for my blog.
Thank you!

Hello Moorea!

I wonder if you could give some tips on indie businesswoman (especially for introverts!). I'm thinking of starting a business, but I'm still searching for the right products/services I can offer. Thanks! :)

girl, you are amazing.
there are so many things i love about your blog and i think it's awesome that you want to know what we want to see more of. i mean, i love your jewelry and i'm hoping to purchase some soon. i actually started making my own jewelry almost a year ago and even though i only made a few pieces i loved doing it. i ended up signing up as a stylist for stella & dot so that takes over most of my jewelry collection and i know it would be confusing to have that as a business as well as my own jewelry on etsy or another online shop, but i really did enjoy making my own. i guess what i'm saying is i'd like to hear more about how you started out and where your inspiration comes from and any other advice you have for anyone wanted to start their own jewelry business in case i ever do decide to venture into that.

also, i'd love your diy posts. and i'm always up for learning more about blog design. i'm very interested in graphic and blog design, but i don't know anything about it really.
oh, and how did you garner such an online presence? how does one get the word out about their blog?

basically i guess i'm just saying more of what you're already doing? haha, i don't know if that helps at all, but you should know i dig your stuff, girl. you rock.

xo,
andrea

What a great idea! Thanks so much for your kindness.

All of your photos has lovely effects, what did you do to them?

Also, out of curiosity, what is your number one rule being a business owner?
