52 Lists // Week 2

I was feeling a bit under the weather yesterday so taking inspiration from not feeling my best, I thought a list of my greatest comforts might be a great prompt for this week's 52 Lists installment!  Cozy might be one of my favorite words and feelings of all time.  And I just think it is human nature to gravitate to that which is comfortable and comforting.  Sometimes, when we are feeling a bit sick, or down, or lost, we need to be reminded of the things that bring us the greatest comfort.  Sometimes, having those comforts to go back to help us remember who we are, what we love, and what brings us peace and energy.  I think this is a great list to pair with week 1's list, "List the Words that Touch Your Soul."  For the first few lists of the series, I want to focus on lists that bring us encouragement, happiness, comfort & peace, lists that we can fall back on whenever we need a little reminder of who we are.  So go ahead and print out this list and start writing up all of the things that bring you the greatest comfort!  I thought I would only have maybe 5 or 6 methods to finding comfort, but my list kept growing and growing!  And now every time I look at my list, I just feel comfort surrounding me as I think of all of the ways that I can grasp comfort in my everyday life.

As always, feel free to link up your list when you have posted it on your blog, facebook, instagram, or wherever you have shared it on the web!  It is so fun reading the words that other people write not only to see how diverse we are but to also explore new ways that we can seek out comfort.  Just click the "click here to enter" button below to add your list to our group collective!

If you post your list on Instagram, Twitter, or Pinterest, use the hashtag:  #52lists2013  (Just typing #52lists will link to the wrong project so make sure you type #52lists2013)

  1. These are wonderful! I absolutely love how we both have our dads on there! I talk to my dad almost everyday on the phone for at least two hours! I love that you've introduced this idea, it really brings calm to me to step back and think of all the wonderful things I have in my life. Thanks!

    1. Oh I'm so glad you are diggin the lists :) you sound like my sister! She and my dad live just down the street from each other and she is such a chatty girl, her favorite thing is just to chat with my dad. And listening to her is my dads favorite thing too :) they're so cute. It's so special when you can be such good friends with someone who is also your family.

    1. Ooh! I will definitely look up Martha Tilston. I grew up in England and actually wrote and recorded a folk album when I was 19 so I have a very soft spot for both British musicians and folk music :)

I hope you're feeling better, lovely lady! Thank you again for taking a little time out to share this list with us and for creating this series.

P.S. Your new layout is beyond gorgeous! I re-did mine on Jan 1st and I already need a little bit of a change. ;)

    1. Definitely. It really helps me to write out my thoughts sometimes because I can end up writing down things I didn't realize were important to me but become apparent when I really think about it.

  16. Life might be difficult at times and whether we like it or not we must face it. So, it's important to have self-reflection that we barely have because of our busyness. Through this, we can easily think of the things that would make us feel lighter and happier.
