ReplyDeleteThe best Valentines day is when I actually had a bf, haha... He and I went on a picnic, he gave me a heart shaped ring, and a cookie that said, "I Love Cai" from his sister's bakery. Ah, sophomore year love. :')

ReplyDeleteMy best Valentine's day was back in college when I used to be obsessed with writing cards. I woke up extra early (around 6am) to bake cookies for my then bf. While the cookies were baking, I wrapped little packages of cinnamon hearts, conversation hearts, and hershey's kisses in cellophane wrap for my friends. I wrote Winnie the Pooh Valentine's cards to go along with all of the candy bags, strategically assigning cards with certain characters to friends who reminded me of them. The best part was showing up to class smelling like freshly baked cookies and handing out the packages of canides. Seeing that some friends held on to the cards in their pencil cases until the end of the year made me smile. We'd doodle silly notes on them between classes from Feb 14 until the December of that year-- seeing that my friends would keep my ridiculous card on them at all times for the rest of the year made it worth the early morning. Valentine's Day for me has always been about showing your appreciation for the people in my life that make me happy. :)

ReplyDeleteThe best Valentine's Day was just a simple night out with an ex boyfriend. It sounds simple, but compared to the others, it was a blessing. I have many horror tales, but I think the worst has to be this one boyfriend who asked me out to a beautiful restaurant on V day and showed up with his father, so we had a triple date with an old man!

My best Valentine day was our first with my husband. I had a work related dinner that night and he waited for me until I got home. We had wine, ate some cheese and just hung out. One of my best memories ever!

ReplyDeleteMy best Valentine's day was last year. My boyfriend took me to our first date restaurant, got me a Pandora bracelet with charms that were our memories and told me he never wanted to love anyone else but me. It was awesome!
ReplyDeleteMy worst Valentine's day was a few years ago when an ex told me he couldn't hang out with me on Valentine's Day because he was going to take his mother to see the new Underworld movie?!?! I stupidly believed him and then a week before V-day he called me the wrong name. I got the picture...

ReplyDeleteI try to make the best of each valentine's just by remembering ALL the people I love...not just that special one :) AND chocolate is definately included! Thanks for the great giveaway...linda marie
ReplyDeleteBest valentines day was the Valentines day that we were "not going to give presents." My husband loved when i got my nails done cause they are sharp, and he loved when I scratched his arms, so on valentines day- I went with a friend to get my nails done, and he called me, and said" what are you doing" i said- "getting a suprise!" so when i got home, I saw a huge bouquet of roses, and a gift card for an hour massage and a box of my favorite chocolates. He looked at me and said where is my suprise? and I held up my hands (trying to hold back the laughter)and said I got my nails done. i had no idea that he thought that I was getting him a present because we said "no presents" We laugh about this today- although he didn't laugh back then.

I wish I could think of a best/worst Valentine's Day! My V-Days are usually quiet and uneventful (the way I like them) but the past few that I've gotten to spend with my fiance have been the best, because I'm truly HAPPY with the person I'm with now :) *cheese*

I've never been that into Valentine's Day so I don't have a best or worst. However, I feel like this year will probably be the best as I started dating one of my oldest friends this past year and everything is working perfectly. Even if we don't acknowledge Valentine's Day, I know it will be my best one so far, no matter what happens.

My worst Valentine's Day was last year. My marriage is not in good shape. I am praying that we will be able to work things out, but it does not look that way. This year may be even worse. We were very happy when we married almost 9 years ago... but we are diametrically opposed over every single thing in life. There is nothing that we do not argue about. I just cannot stand it any more. Last year I baked a heart shaped red velvet cake and we were too poor to afford cards. We got a little candy for the kids and they were fine... but we just sat at the table when the kids had finished their dinner and had absolutely nothing to say. I no longer know what to do.
ReplyDeleteI cant remember ever having a great valentines day...with the hype and it being a bit over rated I seem to always set myself up for disappointment...but I still try every year to have a great Valentine!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win
peace

ReplyDeleteMy fave valentine's day memory was at home when I was a young thing, wearing the necklace my mama made me eating pink heart-shaped pancakes.
ReplyDeleteMy best Valentines Day actually started as my worst Valentine's Day. My boyfriend at the time completely forgot to get me anything, and I was completely heartbroken. I was about fourteen at the time, and it was my first V-day with a boyfriend, so I was understandably devastated. I trudged home from school that day, wanting nothing more than to throw myself down on my bed and lay my tear-stained face on my pillow and sleep.
ReplyDeleteWhen I arrived home, a card, a package of vanilla-scented candles and a new set of bright red PJs were waiting on my bed for me. They were from my mum. It was one of the cutest things she's ever done for me.
the best valentines day was just staying home an cookin dinner for the family! haha sounds boring, but it was nice to have a relaxing night the with family (:
ReplyDeleteMy best Valentines Day was when in a long distance relationship I received an edible arrangement, flowers, balloons and a teddy bear all shipped. But the best part was a surprise visit!

ReplyDeleteThe best was when I was traveling solo through Spain. My youngest brother sent me a card with his heart (he was five) and it said he learned that his heart was the most important part of him so he was giving it to me. It caught up with me on Valentines Day and I was so moved by it I started crying. Best VDay gift ever.
ReplyDeleteThe worst Valentine's Day was our first as a married couple. We had gotten in a serious car accident and were finally feeling better and got Thai food from our favorite place for dinner. My husband got so sick and threw up the entire night. He was so weak and I had to clean it up for him! :-/ YUCK!

ReplyDeleteMy best and worst were the same... I used up a creative Valentines Day gift in college on a crazy girl! I left a trail of Hershey Kisses from room to room in her apartment, leading her to different small gifts. And I enlisted help to have the big gift placed in the bedroom where she began while she was following the trail - surprising since she just left there and it was empty. Alas, we broke up a month later (thankfully).
