Arrowhead Fever & Some Hard News

Over the weekend, I added lots of new arrowhead pieces to my shop!  Now the arrowhead necklace is available in gold and silver in addition to black.  And arrowhead earrings are available too!  They have brass post backings are also available in gold, black, and silver.  The three color options are still available in rings too and I will soon be adding dangly arrowhead earrings to the shop as well!

I'm in an arrowhead craze at the moment I think.  I've always cherished my Native American heritage and sadly, my grandfather passed away this weekend so I'm feeling especially attached to anything that reminds me of my family history.  You can bet I've invested a lot of love and good energy into each of the arrowhead pieces I have made lately, thinking of my family and my deep love for them.  When you purchase something, I know that my love and good energy will be passed on to you too.

Because of my grandfather's passing, I will probably be in California from Wednesday, March 26th - April 1st.  Because my blog and my jewelry shop are my main sources of income, they are my self made businesses and where I put my greatest energy, I will be featuring some guest posts on my blog from wonderful friends while I am away.  I don't want this place to go stagnant so my friends will be visiting and sharing their thoughts on home.  Depending on how I feel, I may just leave my shop open while I am gone, leaving a note to customers that their jewelry will be shipped out as soon as I am back because I really can't afford to lose that income especially as I am having to buy a plane ticket last minute.  So if you do buy something from my shop this week or next, know that it is going straight into helping me take time to be with my family when I really need to be there.  Thank you.

As some of you may know, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer recently so I'm grateful I will get to see her right now, right after her surgery and just before she starts further treatments.  2013 has been a very heavy one for me and my family so far, but I fully trust that I have nothing to complain about.  Our bodies are not immortal, they will age and difficult things will happen to them, this is just a part of life.  I am grateful for all that I have in my life, the time I have spent and will spend with family, the life I live here in Seattle with my loving boyfriend and friends, and the work I am lucky enough to do as a creative spirit.  Age and time have taught me to see that there is always beauty behind moments that bring us dispare and heartache.  And I look forward to being able to spend time with my entire family next week, deepening bonds, letting ourselves mourn in community, and celebrating the life of my grandfather, fully trusting that he is now with my grandmother, my hero, somewhere outside of this world.

So sorry to hear about your grandfather but enjoy the time you spend with your family in California. Sometimes bad things seem to come all at once, but after reading blurbs of your blog and especially the 'Paint your love' posts, I know you're a strong individual who will soldier on. Even though I'm just one reader out in the cyber world, know that I'm thinking good thoughts for you.

Moorea,
First, I am so thrilled with the new arrowhead necklaces! I saw your peek at them last week in your new studio makeover (absolutely lovely so far, by the way!!) and I just adore them.

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather's passing. I am going to be purchasing some items from your shop to show you some love :) I hope you feel extra loved by your family, friends, and blog community during this time. :)

I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather and your mother's illness. I lost my father a year ago to cancer, and I understand how important it is to spend as much time with your family as you can. I will definitely be popping over to your shop and checking it out.

Sending good thoughts your way!
