I've always been a bit of a list addict. I feel so much more peaceful and content with myself when I've got a few lists going, from what I need to do today to my favorite r&b songs from 2002. I love lists! So I thought it would be fun to start a series on my blog for 2013 that focuses on List making, lists for fun, lists for self discovery, lists to bring you peace, you name it. And it's all about participation! Each week on Tuesdays I'll have a new list prompt for you to download and each week, you are able to link up your own list that you have posted on the web to my post. This way we can all explore each others' lists! I encourage you to print out a page each week, or simply create your own each week, collect them through the year and then bind them together at the end of the year as a little memento of 2013. Or perhaps start a new journal just for your 52 List project. Let's go on this fun and inspiring list making journey together!

I found your site through typepad then pulp sushi and now I landed here to see your 52 lists. Can't wait to start - I just printed off weeks 1 & 2. Is there a certain day of the week you will be posting these? Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteHi there Leslie! I will be posting the lists each week on Tuesdays :) Thanks for participating!

thank you for such an inspiring way to remind me to behold each day being mindful of myself and others. I was diagnosed with a incurable cancer three years ago. I am hopeful, with treatment, I have more years ahead of me. It is a struggle sometimes to see the forest for the trees but your proposal will go a long way to seeing those beautiful things that surround and touch me. Blessings to you.
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much for sharing a little bit of your story with me. I honestly have so many deep fears of getting cancer in the future. And the sad facts are that so so so many will get some form of cancer in their lifetime. I admire you for being hopeful for your future. I think the human will is so much more powerful and stronger than the body. Even when our bodies are suffering and going through torment, we still have that power deep down inside of our spirits to be and do something greater than our what our bodies can contain.
DeleteI'm praying for you my friend, for healing of the body, for peace and empowerment deep down in your soul. I know you have a platform to do GREAT things through sharing your story. <3 Thank you for leaving note on my blog.

Oh yeah!! I am definitely doing this!! Thanks!!

Trying to follow your twitter links on my phone is sometimes frustrating. Is there any way you can link without always sending us to Facebook? Can't even see the KI paper without logging in to Facebook, which seems counter to your goal of sharing cool stuff. It may be just a mobile issue and a minor thing, but it's frustrating all the same. I'm not trying to be critical, just thought you might not know it's creating extra steps to follow your links. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting me know that problem! I will try and fix that. I didn't realize it was sending people to facebook!
Deletexo Moorea

Thanks Moorea for starting this! I love your take on it, only one list a week, we can all do that! I was involved in 30days of lists in the past, and I loved it. so this right up my alley! Thanks for doing this for all of us.. I'm a little late to the game, but I printed all 5 lists today, so I plan on doing some catch up.. you can find me and my blog here http://bonitarose.com

ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in Elle! The next prompt goes live tomorrow!

I'm so excited about these prompts, lists are my favorite and my goal is to write more this year. The prompts are great already, started today and will catch up. Not sure if I can always post but will try to some weeks.

The documents are quite difficult to download. The 4share.com service is so riddled with advertising and fee-based offers that I just got frustrated and gave up. One link I found wanted me to download a file called "wk1.exe" which seems like it might be your document, but as a practice, I don't download executable files from unknown sources.
ReplyDeleteHave you considered a different file sharing service that isn't so focused on everything except delivering the files? Maybe a Google Drive account where you could share the documents via a link?
Hi there! I fixed the download problem. The 4share site really was the worst. Now I am using usendit :)
Deletexo Moorea
This is a great idea and I'm also a big list person. So, it's inspiring! I also dislike the download service--it's rather complicated and doesn't seem safe with popups, etc.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really sure what is in the download files so maybe I don't need them? I think I'll just play along on my own...
Thanks!
Hi there! I got rid of the original download service as a lot of people said they were having problems with it so I purchased a nicer host :) The downloads should work now!
Deletexo Moorea
This is such a cool idea! I am going to try to follow along every week. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in Desiree!

Came here via Ali Edwards. What a FANTASTIC IDEA! LOVE, LOVE LOVE LISTS!
ReplyDeleteI'm having a hard time downloading. Keeps opening windows for 4share, etc and offering to sell me a service for $9.95/month, etc. I, too, somehow, downloaded a wk1.exe, but my computer isn't recognizing it. So, think I might just follow along and hand-write my own headings. (Although, yours ARE LOVELY!)
I fixed all of the links for you guys :) The 4share site was being weird so I switched to a different/better host for the files :)
Deletexo Moorea
I just saw the 52 List idea on Pinterest and I am SO inspired to participate!!! This is a great idea!!! Thank you and I can't wait to get started!!! I am a scrapbooker/crafter so I'm going to put a book together of my lists to give to my daughter when she's older. Thank you for the inspiration!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteTheresa
Aw that is such a sweet idea to gather lists for your daughter for the future!
Deletexo Moorea
I'm so loving this idea and am incorporating it into my Project Life album. When can we expect weeks further out than week 5?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this lovely idea for like-minded list makers.
Hi there Lynn! yes, every week on Tuesdays I will post a new list. tomorrow is list 6 of 52!
Deletexo Moorea
I love this and plan on doing this.. I think it's such a great way to start the year...i'm having problems downloading your pdf.is there any other way I can download it?
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer! I just fixed all of the downloads so they should be working now! Thanks for joining in :)

As an avid journal writer and poet---a lover of words---and a severe depressive---I find this project a positive, potentially playful and possibly profound way in which to explore and express myself. I plan to keep up with each week's list in a special journal (so I can also collage in it). Thank you for what you offering people!
ReplyDeleteGina
Aw thank you for joining in Gina!

Found you via an Etsy customer who linked me up! I've been working on gathering list ideas {49 of them since I turn 49 in March} and am so happy to have found you, Moorea, and your blog and this wonderful project. Perhaps now I won't pre-plan all my lists as I had thought and will take a peek at yours now and again for inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great project! Wanna share your list sheets? They are really pretty and would be great to make the lists into a keepsake project!
ReplyDeleteFound you via the blog imperfecthomemaking.com. I was wondering if all the lists would be appropriate for a 12 year old girl. Wanted to check before I gave her a link to this project. She would love it though. Found a journal once at BAM which had list prompts. Almost bought it for her before I saw a couple inappropriate list prompts like "Most exciting places I've had sex".
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for a new private journaling (and possibly even blog) project for a while now. Joining late, but I'm really looking forward to this. Terrific idea!
ReplyDeletei've discovered your new project a bit late but i think i will join in too, i just have to catch up on the last 5 weeks, it should be fun! :) thank you for this amazing idea!
ReplyDeleteThis is beyond delightful! I am looking forward to making lists along with you (after I play catch-up, tee-hee). Thank you for such a terrific soul searchy and fun activity!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteLoving this project. Is there any way to have the weekly prompts emailed to me? I'm having trouble remembering to come to your site and get them. Have you looked into the Feedburner plugin? I think that might be a way to do it.
ReplyDeleteJust found your lists and am a little late but eager to start. I am planning on starting a scrapbook of "Me" this year at long last. These lists will be perfect to add to the album. Will be wonderful for both myself and husband and sons to look back on. Thanks again.Susanne in Australia
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea! I also love lists, and I love notebooks. I see this as a great way (and a very justifiable way :) ) to infuse both. I need a new notebook anyway, and now I know why!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this!
Week 8 wasn't posted as a link, so I can't get to the download page. Is anybody else having this problem?
ReplyDeleteyes, I just tried to print week 8 and wasn't able to. i'll check back later this afternoon.

ReplyDeletejust go to the home page and you can print it from there. :)
happy list making everyone!
Hi Moorea,
ReplyDeleteI just discovered 52 Lists today... via Ali Edwards. Although it's already March first, I'm SO inspired to begin today! I have a beautiful blank journal that I have been saving for the perfect inspiration. I'm enjoying a brand new chapter in my life... retirement, after 35 years of teaching. It will be wonderful to have a journal filled with 52 Lists to help me reflect back on this special time in my life!
Heartfelt thanks!
Dawn
Today is my 39th birthday. I've been toying with the idea of how to mark the passing of my last thirty-something year. List-making is perfect! I will start with Week 1 today and follow through for the next 52 weeks until the big 4-0. Thank you for a great idea of a gift!!
ReplyDeleteHi, thanks for the 52 Lists. I am a list maker, everyday, through out the day! Just wondering, what type of notebook from Shutterfly is used. I saw you mention this and someone else in the comments. Can you give me (us) the link?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
OMG, I love it!!! I guess I have 9 weeks of catching up to do and I think I have the perfect SMASH* book to do it in : ) Thanks!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this project idea. Well, I love lists :-) Especially liking weeks 8 and 9. Do you know the site listgeeks.com? It's a social network for list makers.
ReplyDeleteI love this!! found it on another blog, super late but I am going to start from week 1 today I will link you in my blog just in case more people want to join,

I have been following the lists adventure and I LOVE IT! I share it on my blog and FB page...It's such a wonderful Idea. I want to Thank You.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to the next lists and get to work on them quickly. My friends and family also do the same.
Thanks for sharing and giving your fans an individual, very personal journey to work on...these lists have opened up a lot of doors for me.
Oh that is so special to hear, thank you for letting me know! It feels really good to know that I can contribute something healing, empowering, and life bringing to my friends who read my blog. And it means a lot when I hear that they share it with friends and family. because I just really care deeply about trying to effect communities with love that inspires each person to love themselves deeply and love others fully as well.
DeleteThank you!

LOVE THIS! i like the things to be proud of list particularly. its easy to get caught up in what you need to do and what to buy.. its nice to remind yourself what all you have to be proud of.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Sometimes we forget that filling ourselves with all this "stuff" does not heal our need to find healthy pride in ourselves. Its so healing to take a moment to remember all we have to be proud of so that empty spot can be filled!

I love this idea! Fantastique!

Where is week 13?? I'm too excited to wait!
ReplyDeleteHi Vanessa,
DeleteI had just gotten back from a trip for my grandfather's funeral the night before so I posted Week 13 Tuesday afternoon instead of in the morning. It's up! :)
xo Moorea
I am so excited I found this through Ali Edwards. I am heading on vacation and catching up on my Project Life for 2013 and this is the perfect addition! But the link to the Week 12 PDF actually gives us week 13. Can you send us week 12 please?
ReplyDeleteThe link is fixed! :) Thanks for participating.

An amazing idea! I started last week and am spreading the word across the pond!

Found this through the lovely Lariats and Lavender and can't wait to join in, it's a beautiful idea!
ReplyDeleteMoorea,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely idea. I'm excited to link up my lists and become a part of this little project! List-making has always been therapeutic for me so I love the idea of responding to prompts in list form. Thank you for this!
It's not often that I find a blog that I can just read for days and days, yours is one of them. I only just found it today and I just love this 52 list idea. Nothing more lovely than a good list. x
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!
ReplyDeleteI am SO doing this!
I'll be starting late, but from the beggining!
Love this idea and they look so pretty! x
ReplyDeleteI love it! I also like to make a list! ;) I will be visiting your blog very often!
ReplyDeleteIm IN! <3
ReplyDeleteI found your site on pinterest and loved the house and studio tour. Your jewelry is very nice. I just found and wrote down all of the list prompts so far. Lot's of catching up to do. Thank you for all of that.
ReplyDeleteTom
ohmygoodness, i LOVE this project! i think, your idea is great:) i'm starting with my lists tomorrow!
ReplyDeletep.s fourteen lists - OMG:)))
I found this pretty late myself, but since we can join at any time I figured why not now. I don't have a printer so I'm doing this on Microsoft Word. Is that acceptable? I could do it all by hand and take pictures of the lists and upload them that way if Word is unacceptable.
ReplyDeleteCatching up on 15 lists. It'll be a great weekend. =) Mind if the quote one is a little long? I've been collecting quotes for years and could put together a book. Going through and choosing only my absolute favorites turned out to be quite a task! =D
Thank you Ms. Seal for doing this project! I needed something positive to get me through the year. Thanks again.
I just found your blog, and I am in love with it and this project! I'm going to have so much fun getting caught up, and following along each week! I LOVE making lists, so this is perfect for me!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love the font you used for the words "52 Lists", would you mind telling me the name of it! Thank you so much! <3
Hi Moorea, thanks for this lovely idea ! I just found your blog and I feel so inspired by this project ! I already posted most of my list on my pinterest board : http://pinterest.com/jeannektz/52-lists/
